What a night! at Kilmacanogue History Society talk.
140 turned up – twice the average. In the end, there was no parking anywhere. And 40 books were sold.
Here is a photo of Charles and his wife Carmel, What a team! He writes and she types and edits.
Charles’s talk was mainly based on his research for his two novels The Killing Snows / The Exile Breed on the Irish Famine which are based on family lore and on old records found in a loft in his father’s old family home in Mayo.
Next up –
1. Interview in the Wicklow People and Bray People over the next few weeks.
2. Another presentation with the Rathdrum Historical Society on May 8th.
3. And another with the Greystones Archaelogical and Historical on October 19th.
